Daniel Ray Norris

President of SlapDash Publishing, Daniel is the author of two books about the good old days at Carolina Beach. Carolina Beach, NC - Images and Icons of a Bygone Era, Volume 1 and Friends and Neighbors Remembered - Volume 2. He is an avid photographer, designer, biology teacher and videographer. Born in Wilmington and raised at Carolina Beach and Teachey, NC, Daniel is phenomenally proud of his heritage and strives to create beautiful books that accurately and colorfully reflect our local culture and history. He is currently working with Dr. Chris Fonvielle Jr., professor of Civil War history at UNCW, to have ready, a three part series of Civil War books in time for the civil war's sesquicentennial in 2015. Daniel is also a direct descendant of Blackbeard and struggles daily not to wreak havoc among the southward sailing vessels that ply the Intracoastal waterway. Daniel loves technology and is an avid collector of all things made by Apple Inc. But trying new foods and cuisines is his passion. Not surprisingly, his family has a long and varied history in the local restaurant business. Daniel considers Britt's Donuts "the pinnacle of culinary perfection and a national treasure... undeniably the happiest place on Earth".

Halyn Prusa
Halyn grew up working at Britt’s Donuts. Her grandparents would not have had it any other way. Halyn serves donuts and even cleans up when she has to. She is a world class gymnast and has been flipping around the mats since she was a toddler. Halyn is the daughter of Joe and Lynn Prusa and the grand daughter of Bobby and Maxine Nivens - proprietors of Britt’s Donuts. She is currently working towards her nursing degree at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
