Captain Cordy Hieronymus

Captain Cordy Hieronymus (far left) and his three brothers Harvey, George and Glenn. Each worked as commercial fisherman on the waters surrounding Cape Fear, the broader North Carolina coast and beyond. Born in Richmond, Kentucky in 1946, Cordy soon made his way out into the world. His service in the USAF provided a formal and thorough education on missile electronics and more. In the early 1970's his skills and wanderlust eventually brought him and his brothers to Wrightsville Beach where commercial fishing and marketing seafood became their goal. That challenge was met through channeled efforts of the four brothers. After learning and growing in the business success was earned. Marketing throughout the eastern U.S. plus the purchase of a large trawler which was naturally named the Hieronymus Bros. III was achieved. Fish, shrimp, and other fare were harvested and distributed to a variety of markets including Glenn and Marlene's Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant.
